International Tax & Financial Services

World Trade Centre Hull & Humber’s tax and financial advisory service is provided by a panel of three highly respected national and international firms: Baker Tilly, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Backed up by their strong presence in the Hull and Humber region, each advisor can call upon a wealth of expertise relating to any type of tax and financial concern.
The panel’s role is to answer tax and financial enquiries from businesses, particularly those trading internationally, or looking to do so.
It is also able to help foreign companies wishing to trade in the United Kingdom and to assist with queries from members of the centre’s business club and from the World Trade Centre Association network.
Between them the three panel members offer a full spectrum of tax and financial advice. These include general tax and finance needs, such as corporate tax, environmental tax, VAT and Customs Duty and specific tax-related issues, such as the tax implications for employees working abroad or in the UK.
Other international tax issues include global tax planning for the tax-efficient financing of international transactions, the tax compliance aspects of cross-border leases, as well as advice on foreign exchange and derivatives management and the tax implications of International Accounting Standards implementation.
On the finance side, the panel can support clients with advice on a range of issues, such as acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, major projects, Initial Public Offerings, debt issuance, real estate deals, refinancing and report generation.
The expertise of the three panel members is shown by some of awards they have won in recent years.
Baker Tilly has been ‘Auditor of the year’ in the CBI/Real FD FDs' Excellence awards, and has achieved numerous other accolades including the LexisNexis Prize and in the Accountancy Age awards.
KPMG has been named the Sunday Times ‘Best big company to work for’, while also receiving a lifetime achievement award. It has also been named as ‘Accountancy firm of the year’ at the European M&A awards.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has been a winner in the ‘2008 Most admired knowledge enterprises’ (MAKE) awards, the International Tax Review awards, and also named as ‘Accounting firm of the year’ by Global Investor magazine.
